It is extremely close to the mountains of Snowdonia (Eryri) with easy access to Ogwen, the Llanberis Pass and Beddgelert. It is situated on the north westerly slopes of the Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) massif at 230m (750 ft) above sea level with fine views of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula.
