Up to four Cleveland MC members may use the CHAmois Mountaineering Centre at any time, or possibly more, by arrangement with the Chamois Hut Bookings Secretary. Cleveland members are subject to the same conditions and fees as CHAmois members and have the use of the CHAmois Members Quarters. For more details contact the Secretary
The Club produces a Newsletter that comes out once every three months. This provides a regular source of information concerning meets and other activities of members.>

We have an arrangement with a shop in Bangor for purchasing a range of garments with the club logo embroidered onto the chest. The choice of garments is either an ordinary sweatshirt, a zipped version, a normal weight hoodie or a chunky hoodie (with or without zip) with the Club logo on (in white). Items can be either picked up from the shop or posted. The cost of postage would be variable but probably £5 would cover most. Steve is very obliging so if you have any queries do contact him. He has said that he could even change the wording on the logo (slightly) if required.

Many climbing shops give concessions to climbing clubs which are members of the BMC, so always show your Club membership card when shopping.
CMC now has an arrangement with Cotswold Outdoors for members to get a 15% discount on most items sold by them. To get this discount simply show your CMC membership card and quote our Account number C2285. This discount is also available for on line purchases through their Internet site.
The CHAmois Mountaineering Club is a member of the British Mountaineering Council, the representative body of all interested in the hills. The BMC has a small professional staff based in Manchester, who are responsible for a wide variety of work which includes access, training courses, technical monitoring of equipment and publication of Guidebooks. Members of the BMC are eligible for a very comprehensive mountaineering insurance scheme and can obtain "reciprocal rights card" giving discount in Alpine Huts. The Chamois Club has a group YHA membership. This membership entitles CMC members to discounts when booked in as part of our club. The membership number is 0080465759 and is in the name of the CMC.
